Recommended Use Cases
Try DeepSeek V3.1 Terminus (exacto)
Exacto is an OpenRouter routing endpoint for DeepSeek-V3.1-Terminus that selects providers with higher tool-calling accuracy. This is the same underlying model as V3.1-Terminus, but routed through providers verified for better tool-use reliability.
Per OpenRouter:
We have created new, curated endpoints specifically focused on tool calling accuracy. These are available today, and we are calling them exacto.
What is Exacto?
Exacto endpoints route requests to a curated subset of inference providers that have been verified for:
- Higher tool-calling accuracy
- Normal range of tool-calling propensity
- Not frequently blacklisted by users for tool calls
When to Use
Use the exacto variant when your application relies heavily on tool calling and you need more reliable function selection and parameter generation. For general chat or non-tool-use scenarios, the standard V3.1-Terminus endpoint is equivalent.
